Use a soft lint-free cloth for general cleaning, very slightly dampened if required. Wipe with a dry soft cloth in the direction of the wood grain.
Timber furniture should be protected from continuous direct sunlight and sudden exposure to extreme heat or cold.
Take care and use coasters and heat resistant placemats.
If there is a spill, treat it as soon as possible. For spot cleaning, wipe down with a soft dampened cloth (mild detergent may be used if necessary) and dry immediately.
Avoid scratches by lifting objects and take care when placing objects, that they do not scratch the surface.
If necessary (recommended), use Mirotone Spray Glow to restore lustre to the timber. Never use abrasive cleaners like Mr Sheen or any other silicone-based product.
Carefully remove any loose surface deposits with a damp sponge.
Use a soft brush (non-abrasive) and a dilute solution of a mild detergent, eg; pH-neutral liquid hand dish washing detergent in warm water (DO NOT use solvents) to remove dust, salt and other deposits.
Ensure you thoroughly rinse the surfaces with clean fresh water after cleaning to remove all residues.
Avoid scratches by lifting objects and take care when placing objects that they do not scratch the surface.
Use a soft lint-free dry cloth. Liquid is not required, this will wear away the finish.
A soft, synthetic clear wax can be used to maintain the finish.

To clean mirrors or glass finishes, wash using products specially designed for glass. A soft lint-free cloth or chamois can be used.
Do not use a scouring pad or any other abrasive cleaners or polishes. When cleaning, avoid any moisture contact with the frame and backing.
Keep out of direct/reflective sunlight, to avoid fading and structural movement in the timber frame.
Care and maintenance are important factors in guaranteeing a stone's lasting beauty.
Normal house keeping maintenance for marble surfaces involves only periodic washing with clean water and mildly alkaline cleaners. "Soap-less" cleaners are preferred because they minimise streaking and filming. However, mild phosphate-free biodegradable liquid dish soaps, soap flakes or powders are acceptable if rinsing is thorough.
Do not use cleaning products that contain lemon, vinegar or other acids on your marble.
Do not use scouring powders or creams; these products contain abrasives that may scratch the surface.
Marble is a natural stone and should receive careful attention to prevent damage. It is common policy to use rubber-bottom coasters under all glasses; placemats or colour-fast felt bottoms should be used under anything placed on the polished surface to prevent scratching. Many common foods and beverages contain acids, which could etch or stain the surface; spills of any type should be immediately wiped up and the area should be washed. Washing should be done with clean, soft clothes and lukewarm water.
Examples of Food/Beverages and Products that can etch or stain Marble.
Alcoholic beverages like red wine and champagne, fruit juices, vinegar, tomato products, mustard, carbonated beverages, ink, salad dressings, oil, tea, milk, coffee, butter, peanut butter, cosmetics and any oil based caulks or adhesives.

The woven paper cord seats on these hand woven Modanest barstools usually require no or very little maintenance, as the tough paper cord is designed to last for years.
If you want to freshen up the seat, you can wipe it using a cloth tightly wrung out with a neutral colourless soap solution. However, it is advisable not to do this too often, as it can wear the paper cord unnecessarily.
Discoloration may result from spillages of strong liquids, for example red wine, fruit juice or strongly coloured food, on the seat. If this is the case, the best thing to do is to remove as much of the fluid as possible with a tightly wrung-out soft cloth. Be careful not to rub the liquid into the paper cord, just carefully blot the affected area.
Like other furniture, the white woven seats in particular, but also seats made of natural paper cord, can be discoloured by strongly dyed fabrics, for example a pair of new jeans. If you want to prevent this from happening, it is recommended that you use a cushion on the seat. However, the natural material is designed to patinate beautifully and naturally over time.
Paper cord is a natural, cool, comfortable and durable material. It lasts for many years, but can be replaced or repaired.
Selection of chairs and stools will have individual care instructions supplied on purchase.

The Dowel stool is designed to age gracefully gaining a mellowness of patina over time. The brass being a natural material will dull off slightly as it gains a patina. The stool looks more sophisticated when it is a little less blingy; having said that you can do the following to care for the stools.
Timber: Use a cloth with a tiny bit of moisture in it (water) to pick up the dust. Also, you can apply a liquid beeswax to revive the lustre of the timber if needed.
Brass: Can either be left to age and patina naturally, polished with any brass polish, or it can be lightly sanded with a soft abrasive pad in straight sideways strokes (not circular motion).
To revitalise brass back to original finish.
- Mask off the timber surrounding the t bar to ensure that the wood doesn't scratch.
- For any dark patina spots, target sand in a directional motion (left to right or front to back) with the fine sponge sanding block until it's eliminated and then sand over the entire brass component to even out the colour.
- Once the brass is consistent and clear of any blemishes, wrap the 3m maroon pad
around the sponge sanding block and then sand the brass again in a left to right directional motion. - Using a clean rag, wipe wax over the brass in the same direction as sanded. Once
hazed off (30 secs to a minute) buff wax to a silk sheen with another clean rag.
To keep patina just add wax protection - Wipe wax on, let haze off and then buff off wax to a silk sheen.
