Each furniture piece is made to order. Once an agreed deposit or full payment is received this is non-refundable.
In the event of order cancellation after the commencement of work, the client acknowledges that the deposit will be forfeited to cover incurred costs. Additional charges may apply if expenses exceed the deposit amount.
Deposits are utilised to cover costs associated with the commencement of work, including but not limited to prototyping, planning, drawings, ordering materials, and scheduling. Therefore, deposits are non-refundable once paid.
Commencement of work is defined as:
Work is considered commenced upon receipt of the deposit, which triggers activities such as design planning, material procurement, and scheduling. These preparatory steps incur costs and resource allocation
Changes:
Once your order has been confirmed and proceeded to production, any requests for changes need to be discussed directly with Artifex Interiors. We will do our best to accommodate your requests where possible, but cannot guarantee changes can be made as this is dependent on how far the order has progressed. Any agreed changes requested by the client after the commencement of work may incur additional charges and could affect delivery timelines. Such changes are subject to approval by Artifex Interiors.
All floor stock or sale furniture and lighting purchases are final. Item inspection is the responsibility of the purchaser and all products are sold as is.
Items with Brass, Metals, Marbles and/or Timber specified
Your furniture piece is a hand-crafted item. We utilise the imperfections through the manufacturing & handling process to create a multifaceted finish. You will see imperfections. This is not intended to be a perfect finish.
Lead Times
We supply an estimated lead time for you project. On order, if you require your products at a later date (outside of our estimated lead times), we factor this in with our production. Where a third party is involved in the production of your piece, we cannot always give definitive completion dates until we have received items back to our factory.
Storage
At Artifex Interiors we have minimal storage allowances. If your date to accept goods changes to a later date after the order is placed and if we have the capacity to store, we can quote a storage fee at a percentage of the total invoice, charged monthly or you can you make other storage arrangements on completion.
Delivery Estimation Requests
If you would like Artifex Interiors to quote on delivery, please note that this is subject to change if we are required to use a different provider or the details of your delivery change. Quotes are valid for 60 days.
Please note, once your order has been placed with our external suppliers, we are unable to cancel or provide a refund as stock is immediately allocated.
External suppliers include Hay, Feelgood Designs, Moda Nest, Mr Frag, Sketch and Tolv.

Delivery time for dining chairs and stools will be determined by whether the item you have ordered is in stock or will need to be specially ordered. Ordered products may be from interstate/international suppliers, where some items have a 10-12 week lead time. Please contact us directly to determine if the items are available for immediate delivery.

Artifex Interiors cannot be held liable for any delay in delivery. As Artifex Interiors are unable to store your items, the delivery process will commence once the item is near completion.
Once your order of an Artifex product has been placed, our Sales Team will be in contact with details provided.
Delivery charges will vary depending on your location, the items you have ordered and the access into your premises. Difficult access includes, steep steps, tight corners, small lifts, tight stairwells.
Non Artifex products will be collected directly from the suppliers distribution centre.
Artifex Interiors cannot guarantee additional delivery charges if difficult access has not been disclosed prior to delivery.
If you are a commercial client and do not have a loading zone, you will be required to meet your delivery driver to collect your goods.
If you do not answer phone calls or fail to be available to accept delivery for our third party carriers, further costs will be incurred. This is out of our control. Artifex will not be liable for any further costs incurred by the carrier were you have supplied the wrong information, not answered their calls or not been available for delivery.
Products must be inspected on delivery.
Please notify info@artifex.com.au of any damages or shortages within 24 hours. We cannot take responsibility for any damage raised outside of the time period specified above. Artifex Interiors allow pickups by clients on orders. Finally, common sense prevails.
All of our prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST (Goods and services tax).
All prices displayed on our website are exclusive of freight. Freight charges will be calculated after order based on details provided.

Exchanges/refunds/returns:
Artifex Interiors products, lighting, decor and furniture cannot be returned or exchanged, except in the case of a product fault. We will make all efforts to exceed your expectations before dispatch with every piece quality checked, but if an issue does arise please contact us immediately. Proof of purchase will be requested. Freight charges for returned goods shall not be accepted by Artifex Interiors unless authorised. In some cases there may be restocking fees. There are strictly no change of mind returns.
Credit notes:
May be issued at the sole discretion of Artifex Interiors in lieu of a refund, depending on the nature of the order and applicable circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, order cancellations or returned items where a refund is not applicable. Credit notes are valid for 6 months from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Expired credit notes will not be reissued or extended.
Credit note conditions:
* Credit notes are non-transferable and can only be used by the original customer/account holder.
* Credit notes may be redeemed toward any future purchase from Artifex Interiors, subject to availability and applicable terms.
* Credit notes cannot be exchanged for cash, used to purchase another credit note, or used in conjunction with promotional discounts unless explicitly stated.
Partial use:
If the full value of a credit note is not redeemed in one transaction, the remaining balance will be reissued as a new credit note with the original expiry date.
Your written quote will include our quote reference number, and will list your product details and the costs involved. Quotes are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue. Please note a budget estimate does not constitute a formal quote. Additional freight will be quoted upon request.
All drawings, dimensions, samples, descriptive matter and specifications are intended as a guide only. Artifex Interiors reserves the right to change, alter or modify the design, dimensions, construction or costing of any item of furniture without prior written notice.
Artifex are not responsible for incorrect colour/finish specifications. Where you are unsure how the finish will present, we can produce a sample at $350 per colour/finish.
Modifications to products outside the standard specifications may be possible. All requests for modifications must be submitted in writing and are subject to Artifex Interiors approval. Additional lead time and surcharges may apply. This will become a custom order involving consultation directly with our team.
Artifex Interiors products that require upholstery will be a custom order prepared in communication and consultation with our team. Fabrics and leather can be specified by Artifex Interiors or you, the client.
Artifex Interiors takes exceptional pride and care in the manufacturing of your items. Each piece is handmade from the highest quality materials, ensuring the lifetime enjoyment of our product. A 5 year warranty covers the structural integrity of all Artifex Interiors made items.
This warranty however, does not cover misuse and or damage due to misuse/environmental factors such as exposure to extreme conditions, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, scratches, burns, inappropriate use of a cleaning product, or damage due to flooding or contact with water, will void any warranty. Everyday wear and tear on finishes is also not warranted.
Where you have visited one of our suppliers to choose your specific material ie: Marble, Artifex Interiors is not responsible to offer a new or replacement material if you change your mind after your piece is made.
Inform of us immediately (within 7 days) of any faults resulting from the manufacture or installation process and we will correct any problems promptly. Timber is a natural product and variations in grain and surface texture are typical. Variation in colour and tone may occur from one batch of timber product to another. Please refer to our Customer Care instructions for information on how to care for your furniture.
