Beach combing is something we do the same way today as we have always done. 
It is an age old activity bathed in nostalgia and taps into something innately human. A search, not for food or shelter, but beauty. This painting depicts a tranquil coastal scene created with acrylic paint, oil pastels and modelling paste. The landscape has been painted expressively capturing a sense of the artist's emotional response to the environment. The modelling paste creates texture that gives this piece an aged yet timeless quality.
